The 27-year-old Emerson resident got tangled around 3:30 p.m. at Old Hook Car Wash on Bergenline Avenue, Westwood Police Chief Frank Regino told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

Co-workers quickly freed him, but the victim had suffered a severe leg injury, the chief said.

“He was conscious and alert when the ambulance took him to Hackensack University Medical Center,” said Regino, whose officers kept him apprised of events once the call came in.
