Google Doodle Pays Tribute To Ridgefield's Maurice Sendak

RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Google pays tribute to well-known Ridgefield resident Maurice Sendak, the much-loved author of "Where The Wild Things Are" who died last year, with a his own Doodle on Monday. 

Monday would have been Sendak's 85th birthday. He died in May 2012 at Danbury Hospital from complications from a stroke. 

The Google Doodle becomes animated in a circular storyline, opening with "Wild Things" lead character Max cavorting with his monsters, turns into the of the "In The Night Kitchen" and ends with the birthday party from "Bumble-Ardy."
