Police Report Sexual Assault, Drug Busts

Amid the myriad of traffic related charges last week, Westport police had two drug related arrests and one for touching in a sexual manner. William Trefzger was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault.

Police arrested Trefzger, 66, of 99 Greens Farm Road, on a warrant following the reported June 24 incident. According to reports he is accused of touching another man in a sexual manner who was staying in Trefzger’s home. Trefzger was taken into custody and served a $25,000 bond. He’ll appear in court July 29.

Joseph Magrath, 20, of 2 Pritchard Lane, didn’t try to dodge a possession charge. When police responded to Parker Harding Plaza on an anonymous call about kids smoking marijuana, they spotted a vehicle with five youths in it leaving. They stopped the car and once questioned, Magrath handed over the contraband while admitting it was his. Police found nothing else in the car.  Margrath was charged with possession of less than four ounces of marijuana. He was released on a promise to appear in court, July 19.

Anthony Bolstridge,  24, of 136 Red Hill Road, Branford, was a bit less forthcoming according to police. Police stopped him on Post Road East near Long Lots Road for not displaying a license plate. When they asked him to step out of the car, Bolstridge slid something under his seat. The officers checked and found a keychain pill box containing a bag of cocaine. Bolstridge went into custody without incident and was served a $1,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court July 19. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
