STAMFORD, Conn. — You can get a taste of Haitian culture and music this Saturday when Les Petits Chanteurs (The Little Singers) perform in Stamford.

The Holy Trinity Cathedral complex in Port-au-Prince, where the singers attend school, was completely destroyed in the earthquake of 2010, and proceeds from the concert will go to helping the school relocate and rebuild, according to a news release.

The all-boys choir consists of 40 singers ranging from 8-14 years old, and a seven piece ensemble, the release said. This is the 13th time the group, which was formed in 1960, has visited the U.S. since 1984.

The performance will take place at the L’Eglese de L’Epiphanie inside St. John’s Church at 628 Main St., in downtown Stamford. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. and a reception will follow.

Tickets are $10 if purchased in advance by calling 203-655-1456 or 203-964-1517, or $12 at the door, the release said. Children 10 and under are free.
