Carlos Sanchez, 40, of Brick pled guilty to possession of multiple drugs with intent to distribute on Friday, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said.

Prosecutors recommend that Sanchez be sentenced to nine years in New Jersey State Prison when he is sentenced on June 19, with a fifty-four month period of parole ineligibility. That means he would have to serve four years and six months in prison before becoming eligible for parole.

Sanchez entered his plea before Judge Rochelle Gizinski.

When law enforcement officers executed a search warrant on his home in 2016, they were able to locate and seize approximately 133 grams of cocaine, nearly 200 grams of Butylone, a quantity of Oxycodone pills, a small amount of marijuana and approximately $32,000 in cash, Billhimer said.

The investigation was conducted by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force and U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) over the course of several weeks in early 2016.

On Feb. 4, 2016, the county Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, DEA Regional SWAT Team and Brick Township Police Department executed the search warrant at Sanchez’ residence.

Billhimer said the investigation was assisted by Jackson Township Police, South Toms River Police, Toms River Police and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit.
