John M. Ringer, 82, Wyckoff Resident

WYCKOFF, N.J. -- John M. Ringer of Wyckoff, died on Monday, Dec. 7. He was 82.

Ringer was born in El Paso, Texas and lived in Wyckoff for 58 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955 and was a member of the Sampson AFB Veterans Fellowship for many years. 

He was the manager of owner service at Mercedes Benz of North America in Montvale for 28 years. 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret, his children, John C. Ringer and his wife Laurie of Hewitt, Deborah Ringer of Lincoln Park, and Matthew J. Ringer and his wife April of Melbourne, Fla.

 Also surviving are 2 grandchildren – John D. Ringer, Alicia Van Gilson and her husband Evan, and one great-granddaughter Natalie Lyn Ringer. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Dec. 12, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 7p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, located at  257 Godwin Ave. in Wyckoff.
