Formed high up on a hill in Dobbs Ferry in 2007, Greetings From Anywhere mashes folk, blues, bluegrass and country into a unique roots-rock hybrid, performing with the gritty, impromptu abandon of a good old-time garage band. Veterans of the NYC and Hudson Valley club, pub and festival circuit, GFA features a wide array of original compositions alongside choice reinterpreted feel-good covers.

Lead vocalist Sheila Noonan-Gorham of Dobbs Ferry, who is steeped in the tradition of Irish music, is joined by a supporting cast with diverse musical backgrounds: acoustic guitarist/banjoist of Dobbs Ferry Andrew Schriever; electric bassist and White Plains resident Adam Friedman and drummer Doug Schneider of Dobbs Ferry; multi-instrumentalist Michael Chatham of Stamford, Conn., and classically trained fiddler Liz Mackanesi. In addition to their primary instruments, each supporting band member is known to take their own turn on lead vocals, creating a unique dynamic to each performance.

GFA is in the final stages of recording sessions with producer/engineer Matt Noble of their hometown Riverworks Recording, with a record release date slated for this fall. GFA's new album is expected to release in the late fall and will most likely be self-titled. It's a collection of originals penned by several different members of the band and covers a wide swath of Americana themes and styles.

Tickets for the event are $25. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
