Nora Glynn, 93, Of Sleepy Hollow

SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. – Nora Glynn, a 33-year Sleepy Hollow resident, died Sept. 19 at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow. She was 93. 

Glynn was born March 9, 1919, in New York City to Mary and James Broderick. She married Francis Glynn at St. Luke's Church in New York on Sept. 20, 1947. She lived in Bronx, N.Y., until 1979, when she moved to Sleepy Hollow. 

She worked at Home Life Insurance as a data entry clerk for many years. A baseball fanatic, she favored the New York Mets, but always rooted for New York teams, her family said. She was a member of the North Tarrytown Seniors and Catholic Daughters. 

Glynn is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann; a sister-in-law, Margaret Broderick; a granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank; a brother, Jack; and a sister, Della. 

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Dwyer and Vanderbilt Funeral Home in Tarrytown. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Teresa of Avila Church in Tarrytown. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
