Stamford Lawyer Elected To Board Of Trustees At Maritime Aquarium

NEW CANAAN, Conn. – A New Canaan woman was recently elected to the Board of Trustees of the Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk.

Rebecca B. Brown is a partner with Shipman & Goodwin in Stamford, where she serves as a member of the law firm’s real estate and commercial finance practices. She also serves as co-chair of the real estate section of the Fairfield County Bar Association.

The Fairfield County Business Journal recently ranked Brown among the publication’s 40 Under 40 honorees for her contributions to the county’s business community. Last year, she was recognized by the Connecticut Law Tribune as among the New Leaders in Law for her contributions to the legal profession.

According to a press release, Brown represents lenders and borrowers in the area of commercial finance with an emphasis on real estate financing and loan restructuring. She also is experienced in the field of historic tax credits for the rehabilitation of historic structures.
