Website Ranks Best, Worst Jobs For 2015

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Job hunting and advice website CareerCast ranked the best and worst jobs in the U.S. recently and careers that rely heavily on mathematics seem to yield the best returns.

The best job, according to the survey was actuary, a job that interprets statistics to determine probabilities of accidents, sickness, and death, and loss of property from theft and natural disasters. The average annual income for the position is more than $94,000, CareerCast said. 

Other jobs to crack the top five included: audiologist, mathematician, statistician and biomedical engineer. 

The worst job in America went to newspaper reporters, who work in an industry with a poor hiring outlook and an annual salary of $36,267.

The other jobs in the bottom five were: lumberjack, enlisted military personnel, cook and broadcaster.
