Startup Holds Seminar On Funding At Stamford Innovation Center

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Stamford Innovation Center is set to announce new initiatives in a presentation on Tuesday.

The startup and co-working center is launching the InnovationED and Major VC Presentation on Digital Media, Startups and Funding at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the center at 175 Atlantic St., according to a news release. Drinks and dinner will precede the presentation starting at 5 p.m. 

"We're a startup whose job is to support the founding and growth of more local startups," representatives said in the release. "So we are keenly aware of the needs of entrepreneurs, technologists and other local business leaders to take classes that address a specific need to help them advance their goals. Now we are offering a more complete slate of essential classes, mainly taught by talented local professionals."

Marc Michel of Metamorphic Ventures "makes a living making bets on the next wave of technology," according to the release, and "Metamorphic has done very well for their investors and is about to close a new fund." Michel is set to speak at the presentation on "The Digital Media Opportunity" and will offer insights on the digital media landscape, startups and funding, according to the release.
