The Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Foundation, Inc. said recently that it has continued its global support of the Red Cross with a $30,000 donation.

Thanking Starwood for its gift, Red Cross CEO Mario Bruno, said its partnership with the foundation “is key in helping us deliver vital services to our community and around the world.”

Michelle Naggar, vice president of social responsibility at Starwood and president of the foundation, said the corporation’s global citizenship work is “about being part of something bigger, doing the right thing and giving back to the communities where we operate.”

Red Cross and Red Crescent teams are serving tens of thousands of migrants and refugees across the Middle East and Europe, Bruno said.

This critical assistance, he said, includes the distribution of food, water, hygiene kits, baby supplies, clothing, and first aid kits.

Red Cross and Red Crescent teams are also providing medical care and first aid, shelter, and psychosocial support, he said.
