Area customers will recall that the successful Chinese-Japanese restaurant closed after a fire in June 2014 at its original location on Summer Street, where it spent 14 years.

Pearl East is set to reopen at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13, featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony with both Stamford Mayor David Martin and state Sen. William Tong.

Pearl East is co-owned by Bee "Ivy" Bacher and Chef Ye -- the same team who spearheaded the previous Pearl East.

“To say I’m excited about the grand re-opening is an understatement," Bacher said in a press release. "Our return has been over a year in the making and I believe we’ve found the right balance of a talented staff, central location and an appealing menu. We offer authentic, affordable Asian cuisine and are especially grateful for the support of the community, friends and family during the rebuilding process.”

Pearl East’s menu will continue to feature chicken, beef, seafood, vegetables and unique sauces aimed to please the palates of Americans and the Asian community alike, according to a press release.

The reopening will feature a 20 percent discount (from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.) on certain menu items.

The restaurant will be from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays, noon to 11 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 10 p.m. Sundays. Deliveries are available to Darien, Greenwich and Stamford.
