Stamford's Harbor Point Gateway Garage Hits 95% Occupancy

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The monthly parking spaces at Harbor Point Gateway Garage are already 95 percent occupied, just two months after BLT opened the new, state-of-the-art parking facility at Stamford Transportation Center, according to Building and Land Technology, developer of Harbor Point in Stamford.

“There has been enormous pent-up demand for modern, convenient and affordable parking facilities at the train station. Harbor Point Gateway Garage goes a long way toward resolving a shortage that has existed for many years,” said Ted Ferrarone, chief operating officer of Harbor Point Development. “Gateway is brand new, thoroughly modern, and conveniently located.  Commuters have responded quickly to what we’re offering. It’s a huge benefit for a city that depends on public transportation.”

BLT is the developer of the entire Harbor Point project, which is one of the nation’s largest redevelopments — encompassing an entire neighborhood, with a full mile of waterfront, more than 4,000 residential units and several million square feet of commercial development.

Harbor Point Gateway Garage will feature direct platform access, electric vehicle charging stations and a full service car wash. Propark America, a national parking management company, operates the garage and is offering various parking programs directly through the facility’s website at www.thegatewaygarage.com.
