Over the course of the six-week series, she will discover her family’s roots in Minturno through local dance and music during the town’s annual Wheat Harvest Festival, “La Sagra Delle Regne,” the release said. The episodes will air on You Tube, and new episodes will be added every Thursday.
“It is where my own journey starts, beginning with my family’s culture. There is a whole world out there and I plan on experiencing it, one dance at a time!” Mallozzi said in the release.
“Bare Feet” is designed to teach people about music and dance from cultures around the world as Mallozzi travels and visits those places, the release said.
“Travel is a category that is under-served on YouTube, and this show allows viewers to experience firsthand how music and dance are so important in the destinations to where Mickela travels; and along with that, the true cultures of the local people shine through,” Sarah Penna, co-founder and head of Talent at Big Frame, said in the release.
Big Frame is a YouTube media company to help creators develop audience, monetize content and build career trajectories, the release said. Prior to Big Frame getting involved with “Bare Feet,” Mallozzi self-funded her trips, the release said.
