This year La Jolie joined the charity event by holding its own cut-a-thon, and was able to donate $1,900 to Boston Children’s Hospital through raffle tickets, haircuts and donations.

The "HAIRraising Cut-A-Thon" event has been held annually since 2009 and was founded by John Frieda and his partner, Gail Federici, to unite salons across the nation in order to support Boston Children’s Hospital.

The donations and events from this organization help continue the research done by the hospital and also help children who have been put through numerous treatments receive special hairstyles and cuts to lighten their spirits.

La Jolie Salon & Spa held a raffle and accepted donations throughout the day. All cuts and/or blow dries were $40 and the raffle tickets started at $5 and $20 for five tickets.

Ticket holders were entered to win one of seven prizes including baskets by ColorWow, Goldwell and Deva Curl, an Eminence Organic Facial, a Keratin Express Treatment, three personal training sessions and a ten pack of classes at Inspire Fitness.
