Introduced in part by Rep. Caroline Simmons, of Stamford, the bill looks to create a public-private partnership that will advance awareness, provide training and use-case exercises. Although the bill is in primitive form, Feldman provided his opinion and thought leadership in helping create a best-in-class program that can address such attacks.

Given this week’s largest quantifiable cyber-thefts of $1 billion and in the wake of some of the largest security breaches affecting multi-national brands like Sony and Anthem, Feldman’s thoughts helped bring some clarity to the legislators on how to navigate and establish a partnership between the public and private sectors.

In addition to running U.S. Computer Connection, Feldman has been an active member of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce (SCC) since 1990. He is the longest-serving board member in SCC’s history. In 2002, he served as chairman of the board, a role he is now reprising as he is the current chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
