Due to the continuing operations at Nestle Waters, the League of Conservation voters has urged all of its members to petition the Stamford firm, mintpressnews.com reported.

Now entrenched in its third year of drought conditions, California's water supplies are at less than two-thirds capacity. As a result, hard caps on water use suchas watering lawns or washing cars have been put in place, mintpressnews.com said.

Nestle Waters bottling factory, however, is on Native American land and is not subject to the state regulations, according to mintpressnews.com.
