ONE World Sports Will Be Coming To Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. — ONE World Sports will open the ONE World Sports Broadcast Center at Shippan Landing in Stamford on Saturday.

The state-of-the-art high definition production facility is part of a comprehensive re-launch of the global sports network, a news release said. As a part of the re-launch the network will also be introducing a global sports ticker and debut its on-air branding and graphics.

ONE World Sports will partner with Encompass Digital Media, a company which owns and operates broadcast facilities all over the world, the release said. The Stamford location will be used for production and post-production, and will be using Encompass offices in Singapore to provide content acquisition services which will be delivered to Stamford.

“Our partnership with Encompass will help accelerate our momentum as we move into original programming and an ever-wider span of global sports coverage,” Alexander “Sandy” Brown, president and CEO of ONE World Sports, said in the release, “The move to high-definition telecasts will further enhance our viewers’ experience as they enjoy some of the best sports programming the world has to offer on ONE World Sports.”

“Encompass is extremely proud to welcome and partner with ONE World Sports at such an exciting time for the global sports network,“ Bill Tillson, Co-CEO of Encompass, said in the release, “They are a perfect fit with the other network industry leaders housed in our state-of-the-art production campus.”

Encompass also provides services for the CBS Sports Network, NFL Network and YES Network among about 800 other local, regional and global networks, the release said.

ONE World Sports delivers live sporting events from around the world, with more than 2,400 hours of un-duplicated live action, the release said. The company is headquartered in New York City and is owned by ONEMedia Corp.
