Norwalk Woman Joins Staff At Stamford's Just Cats Veterinary Hospital

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Dr. Valerie Livingston, a Norwalk resident, has joined the veterinary practice at Just Cats in Stamford.

The addition of Livingston expands Just Cats staff to four full-time veterinarians dedicated exclusively to the health, care and well-being of cats.

Livingston received a bachelor's degree from Wake Forest University and earned her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Kansas State University, graduating with honors. While at Kansas State, she received the Melba Cornwell Bridge Memorial Award for proficiency in feline medicine.

Before joining Just Cats, Livingston completed a small animal rotating internship at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. 

Just Cats is the area’s first feline-only facility and has been operating in Stamford since 1991. In addition to veterinary care, Just Cats offers dental services, boarding, grooming and a store.  

Just Cats, is at 1029 E. Main St., recently was awarded gold level recognition by The American Association of Feline Practitioners for providing the organization’s highest standard of feline care. It was the first veterinary practice in Connecticut to receive this distinction.
