New Chef De Cuisine Takes Reins At Stamford's City Limits Diner

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford's City Limits restaurant recently welcomed new Chef de Cuisine Matt O'Connor.

City Limits has been named as one of the “Best Diners,” “Best Breakfast,” and “Best for Families” restaurants by Connecticut Magazine, according to a press release, and "is known for redefining the traditional American diner experience by showcasing a wide selection of comforting, sophisticated made-from scratch dishes." O'Connor comes to the restaurant from White Plains, N.Y.

“We’re thrilled to have Chef Matt O’Connor join our family here at City Limits, his experience in the industry combined with his enthusiasm for his craft makes him a great addition,” said General Manager Laura O’Brien in the release.

“Matt cooks from his heart which makes him the perfect partner for me at our Stamford location,” said Chef Peter Assue in the release. 

O’Connor, a White Plains native, received his training at the New York Restaurant School in New York City, according to the release, and joins the team at City Limits following his work as Executive Chef of Racanelli’s in Scarsdale.

"With over 15 years of culinary experience, O’Connor has worked as the Executive Sous Chef at popular New York restaurants including Equus Restaurant at the Castle, Globe Restaurant, Fig & Olive, One if by Land, Two if by Sea, and Morgan’s Fish House," representatives said in the release.
