Fleet Feet Sports To Celebrate Grand Opening In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Fleet Feet Sports Stamford will host its grand opening this weekend, with special events and activities taking place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, including giveaways, hourly speed raffles, drawings, special savings and family-friendly activities.

The store opened at 168 Bedford St. in downtown Stamford on May 30.

“This weekend serves as a celebration of our new store and as a way to thank our customers and the Stamford community,” said co-owners Troy Burk and his wife, Victoria Gouletas.

“We’ve been so pleased with the success of the store during our first few weeks, and we look forward to this weekend full of fitness, savings, and fun,” said Gouletas.

Fleet Feet Sports Stamford is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Here's the schedule for grand opening weekend activities:

Friday, July 26

With each purchase, customers can enter into a drawing for a free pair of shoes.
Noon to 6 p.m. – Savings Bag Toss (receive 10 percent to 20 percent off).
1 to 3 p.m. – Free Screenings by Stamford Podiatry Group.
6:30 p.m. – Fun Run 3 Miles with giveaways and the opportunity to demo some of the newest gear from Nathan and GPS watches from Timex. Beer and food after the run. Sponsored by Nathan, Timex, and Half Full Brewery.

Saturday, July 27

With each purchase, customers can enter into a drawing for a free pair of shoes.
9 a.m. – Fun Run 3 Miles – Bagels and coffee after the run.
Noon to 2 p.m. – Savings Bag Toss (receive 10 percent to 20 percent off).
5 p.m. – Fun Run 3 Miles with giveaways and the opportunity to demo some of the newest Nike running shoes. Beer and food after the run. Sponsored by Nike and Half Full Brewery.

Sunday, July 28

With each purchase, customers can enter into a drawing for a free pair of shoes.
Noon to 2 p.m. – Savings Bag Toss (receive 10 percent to 20 percent off).
1 p.m. – Healthy Food Options by Fairway Market.
4 p.m. – Family Fun Run with Kids – Giveaways.
10 percent of all sales donated to the Yerwood Center.
