STAMFORD, Conn. -- First County Bank has chosen 3001 Stamford Square as the new location for the bank’s executive offices, The Ashforth Company announced this week.
Moving about 50 employees from its current locations in Stamford, First County Bank will occupy nearly 19,700 square feet of space on the first floor of the building developed, owned and managed by Ashforth at 3001 Summer St. First County Bank, founded over 160 years ago, is a $1.3 billion independent mutual community bank with 15 branches in Stamford, Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk and Westport.
“We are thrilled that First County Bank, a highly regarded bank in our community, has selected 3001 as its new headquarters. Their choice validates our property renovation and rebranding effort and both Ashforth’s and First County Bank’s confidence in the long-term vitality of Stamford,” said Darrell Harvey, co-chief executive officer of Ashforth.
Ashforth completed a multimillion-dollar renovation of 3001 Stamford Square at the end of 2012. The property consists of 290,000 square feet of office space on seven floors with four levels of underground parking.
First County Bank joins a high-caliber roster of 3001 Stamford Square tenants: KPMG, Genworth and Navigators and recently signed Pitney Bowes, O’Connor Davies and Willis. The move-in date is expected in the first quarter of next year. A.P. Construction Co., Ashforth’s construction division, will complete the renovation.
Ed Tonnessen, managing director of JLL, the exclusive leasing agent for 3001 Stamford Square, represented Ashforth. The building at 3001 is now 71 percent occupied with 84,000 square feet still available for lease.
