Pasha got his first job in the food industry when he was 15, starting by washing dishes and working all the way up to bartending and catering.

In 2013, he took time off to figure out what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. During that time, Pasha slowly started purchasing the items he might need if he were to ever start his own business.

He bought everything from cocktail glasses to copper basins and a way to create “crystal clear ice” that he and his staff now chip off a block for every drink.

Pasha launched The Cupbearer at the end of May, and he says he has had success in creating an atmosphere that wasn’t offered before.

“Everyone wants the 'Gatsby' party,” Pasha said. “But the 'Gatsby' service didn’t exist.”

What Pasha hopes to create is a company that focuses on an aspect of catering that he thinks is mostly overlooked.

“I started the company because I realized there wasn’t that level of service for events,” Pasha said.

At one event, he said a man asked for a Gibson, a gin drink made with pearl onions, something not usually served at catered events. “But the man came up and ordered it without hesitation because he knew that I would have the onions,” Pasha said.

“It’s all about the effortless, seamless show,” and that isn’t offered by most bartenders at a catered event, he said.

Aside from the bartending, Pasha says he comes with connections to food caterers and can help in choosing a menu as well as drinks for an event.

When it come to the alcohol, the customer purchases it. Pasha and his team picks it up and brings it to the event. The same goes for the rental tables and chairs.

The Cupbearer is available for events throughout Fairfield County. For more information contact Pasha or visit its website.
