STAMFORD, Conn. -- Dr. Michael Stone has joined the staff at Stamford Hospital as the new Chair of the Department of Surgery, the hospital announced.
Stone joins Stamford Hospital from Boston University School of Medicine, where he served as Professor of Surgery since 2001. He was also Chief of Surgical Oncology at Boston Medical Center and Vice Chairman of Surgery.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He trained in general surgery at the Harvard-Deaconess Surgical Service.
Stone has frequently been named in the Guide to America's Top Oncologists, Guide to America's Top Surgeons, and The Best Doctors in America.
